Laboratory tools for the kitchen
Grating bowl laboratory porcelain, 510 ml
Strictly speaking, this sturdy vessel made of laboratory porcelain is not a mortar, but a grating bowl - recognizable by the slightly roughened inner surface. The "tool" used to grind and chop herbs, spices and (nut) kernels is not a pestle with a smooth grating surface, but a pestle with a roughened grating surface. The grated material is therefore cut rather than crushed and retains its taste and aroma; the sintered, unglazed porcelain does not absorb any liquid and always remains neutral in taste. Also suitable for making herb pastes, Italian pesto, mustard or even marzipan. The grating bowl is usually only available in this size from specialist retailers for laboratory use.
Working knife SK15-DLC
Work knife SK15-DLC
Beautiful tools - the best working tools. The VEARK knives have a convincing aesthetic and are not inferior in quality to their appearance. The knives, designed as a monobloc, are drop-forged in Solingen from the best blade steel. This steel consists of the alloy components carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. This makes the knives highly resistant to corrosion and, above all, they can be sharpened better and sharper, as they have an above-average hardness of 58 Rockwell for knife steel. This basically means: A harder knife can be sharpened more effectively and the sharpened blade lasts longer. This means that the so-called edge retention is maintained for longer. VEARK knives are well-balanced in the hand. Thanks to their industrial look, the blank-like handle parts not only have a unique aesthetic, but are also easy to grip and handle. The knife series is complemented by the chopping board, an ideal blade-friendly work surface.
More about Vaerk products
Well balanced
Well balanced is half the battle: Based on this premise, designer Daniel Ronge and product developer Christian Lorentzen set out six years ago in search of the perfect kitchen knife. The result is SK15 - a Santoku that not only looks good, but also impresses with its inner values. Together with MAGAZIN, the Danish manufacturer Veark has now launched a special black edition of the SK15. Designed in Denmark, produced in Solingen.
