For more than 175 years, the traditional Danish brand Kähler has stood for handcrafted ceramics and high-quality arts and crafts. The origins of Danish quality thinking in architecture and design are rooted here. For more than 130 years, the Kähler company took the most famous artists of the day under its wing. With the 4th generation of the Kähler family, the history of the company as a family business came to an end in 1974. In 2008, the architect Frantz Longhi took over the company and started a new phase for the Kähler design brand. Today, only part of the production takes place in the company's own ceramic workshops. The brand has retained its focus on the tradition of contemporary design and ceramic craftsmanship.
