SOFTLINE - functional upholstered furniture from the north
Timeless, sculptural furniture from Denmark: SOFTLINE has been an expert in polyurethane foam for almost 40 years, a raw material that characterizes the manufacturer's designs. In collaboration with international design studios and always inspired by the long Scandinavian tradition in furniture construction, the seating furniture is created with special functional benefits. SOFTLINE was founded in 1979 and until then supplied polyurethane foam to the Scandinavian furniture industry. The company's breakthrough came in the 1980s, partly in collaboration with designer Kurt Brandt, who made innovative use of the material's design possibilities and created timeless and simple upholstered furniture. For example, his KOLTER BED - which has been part of the MAGAZIN range for many years - is a practical piece of furniture without any design pretensions. Today, the company works with designers from all over the world. After the death of Kurt Brandt, the young designer Flemming Busk, who is now part of the busk+hertzog team, came on board. The design duo has created a range of seating furniture with multiple uses for SOFTLINE. HAVANNA, for example, an armchair with a bold curve and refined silhouette, offers the best seating comfort and acoustically isolates the user from their surroundings. SOFTLINE furniture in the MAGAZIN range are all quick-change artists. They can be transformed into a comfortable reclining surface in just a few simple steps - without the need for complex, wear-prone or cost-intensive folding mechanisms.MAGAZIN is impressed by the simple shapes and versatility of SOFTLINE furniture. The Scandinavian company knows how to produce upholstered furniture with a high level of functionality. The versatile companions for almost any living context therefore have a firm place at MAGAZIN.
