Yes, Bananatex®! 100% natural canvas fabric, made from banana fibers. The Swiss bag manufacturer QWSTION has developed a natural material made from organically cultivated Abacá plants, which belong to the banana family.

As a natural alternative to synthetic, petroleum-based textiles, the in-house development is very robust and durable, light and flexible with a finely textured feel. A layer of beeswax makes the canvas fabric water-repellent, hard-wearing and develops a beautiful patina with use.

The ECO furniture series with Bananatex® covers, among other things, is an ecological and economical development: a cooperation between MAGAZIN and the Danish upholstered furniture manufacturer SOFTLINE.
