MOEBE - THE DANISH DESIGN STUDIO
MOEBE is a Danish design studio that creates products, furniture and interiors The Danish design studio MOEBE stands for characteristic furniture, accessories and interiors that last a lifetime. So simple, so good. MOEBE was founded in Copenhagen in 2014 by architects Martin de Neergard Christensen, Nicholas Oldroyd and carpenter Anders Thams. To this day, all MOEBE products are designed by the three of them in their own studio in Copenhagen. All designs are built according to a modular principle and are based on several components. This means that they can be easily assembled and, if necessary, repaired and ultimately recycled. MOEBE reduces designs to their simplest form and dispenses with purely decorative details and gimmicks. Functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand. The Danish studio is constantly testing and developing new techniques to join different materials and elements without glue or welding equipment. As a result, a surprisingly simple, smart construction principle forms the core of each design. High-quality, often untreated materials complete the concise simplicity. The story of MOEBE in Copenhagen began in 2014 with Frame, a picture frame with a clever mechanism. The Danish design studio is constantly developing its own range, which now includes a variety of design accessories, lamps and furniture. The modular Shelving System has become a classic, as has the Frame picture frame, which MOEBE still offers today in different sizes, materials and colors. MAGAZIN offers selected design products from MOEBE, such as the smart storage solutions Storage Box or Organise; Bed - a bed that can be extended from 90 to 1.80 cm; and of course Frame.
EVEN MORE MOEBE PRODUCTS AND EXPERT ADVICE IN OUR STORES
In our stores in Cologne, Stuttgart, Bonn and Munich, you are right in the middle of the world of MAGAZIN products. Take a look at what interests you, touch the products and try them out.
You will recognize our own products at the M, because we believe that there's no such thing as impossible. That's why we make things ourselves that are not available the way we would like them to be. Or we make things that do exist better.
We share a common attitude with all our manufacturers: we sell well-designed products and take a critical look at materials and manufacturing processes.
