Self-referential and striking at the same time: The base of this table consists of an extruded HEB industrial profile, better known as a double-T beam. Virtually indestructible due to its shape and material, this not only ensures stability but also communicates it visually, emphasizing the vertical axis and creating a striking formal contrast to the two round tabletops: Both made of steel in a delicate gauge—at the bottom as a base and at the top as a tabletop—they in turn artistically emphasize the horizontal plane. A highly successful interplay of forms with an industrial character, enhanced by the materials, featuring elegant proportions, and almost a showcase of design philosophy for both outdoor and indoor use.
