Lights from Wästberg

Northern lights! The Wästberg lighting brand sets standards: with well-designed, repairable products by renowned designers.

It all started with a question: What is good light? Magnus Wästberg set himself the task of answering this seemingly banal question when he founded the Wästberg lighting brand in Helsingborg, Sweden, in 2008. Together with international designers and architects such as Inga Sempé, Ilse Crawford and David Chipperfield, Wästberg has since found a variety of answers: From discreet, minimalist pendant luminaires to functional task lights and expressive lighting objects, the brand's portfolio includes a wide variety of luminaires. Because good light can mean illuminating a desk perfectly - or bathing a room in an atmospheric glow. Wästberg was an early adopter of LED technology, which was still new at the time. And to keep pace with the ongoing technical development of light-emitting diodes, the Malmö-based company regularly updates existing models. In addition, the luminaires are designed so that the LEDs can be replaced in the event of damage - by no means a standard in the industry. For Wästberg, good light also means sustainable light.

Magnus Wästberg

Magnus Wästberg's father already ran a lighting company. His son didn't really want to follow in his footsteps, but after studying economics, Wästberg Junior found himself in the industry after all. With the brand founded in 2008, the Swede has conquered his place in the market - and is often one step ahead of the competition in terms of design and sustainability.
