Wall lamp Ayno L, silk grey

The wall light from the AYNO light family is mounted on a steel wall base. It serves as room lighting, an ideal reading light by the sofa or as task lighting next to tables.

With the AYNO luminaire family, industrial designer Stefan Diez has created a new, contemporary type of luminaire typology, bridging the gap between the origins and the present of steerable light. AYNO is quite radically reduced to the essentials and meets all requirements in terms of design, contemporary technology and resource conservation.

The central feature of the AYNO luminaire family is a fiberglass rod that is formed into an arc by the luminaire cable. The inherent tension of the rod enables a joint-free design. By moving the two adjustment rings on the base and head, the fiberglass rod is bent into the desired position and the light is directed in the required direction. The cable thus stretches the rod into an arc, the radius of which can be varied as required using the adjustment rings. The fine adjustment, i.e. ultimately the exact alignment of the light, is carried out using the adjustable lampshade.

AYNO reflects a radical approach to circular design. A key step here is the reduction of structures and complexity. The resulting minimalist construction enables extremely low resource consumption. The luminaire consists of only three fully recyclable primary materials: steel, glass fiber and ABS plastic. The steel and plastic elements are already made from recycled materials. In addition, the design means that all materials can be separated by type and thus recycled. No tools are required to achieve this - everything is interlocked and can be separated by hand. Access to so-called semi-finished products, i.e. materials and elements pre-produced as standard in large series, reduces costs and shortens transportation routes. The luminaire is durable as it can be repaired by the user without tools. And even the luminaire head, the LED unit produced in Germany or the transformer can be easily replaced.

AYNO is available as a table or floor lamp. There is also a wall light in the MAGAZIN range. The lampshades in silk gray or black are aligned by cables in neon orange, black or gray.
