These spare parts for the knife grinding machine TORMEK T-1 are easy to fit and make the grinding machine a real long-term solution for the maintenance and care of the knife collection.

Guide clamp: The desired angle of the blade is set via the guide of the grinder. The associated plastic clamp secures the blade and ensures an even angle over the entire grinding bevel. Can be replaced without tools: A click mechanism is used to remove the worn clamp and click in the new one. It is normal for the clamp to wear slightly during the first few sanding cycles. The clamp comes with the blade protection felt already attached. Tip: For knives of different thicknesses, it is advisable to use two clamps: one for thin knives and one for thicker knives.

The knife protection felts absorb the grinding dust and steel particles produced during sharpening and thus protect the blade from scratches. The self-adhesive felts are simply stuck onto the designated areas. Note: The two felts have different shapes - each matching the corresponding points on the guide.

Thanks to its fine 600 grit, the conical diamond grinding wheel made of steel with diamond coating only removes as much material as necessary and sharpens the cutting edge quickly and easily. The long-lasting wheel will complete more than a thousand sharpening processes before it needs to be replaced. Tip: Do not dispose of it after replacement - the surface of the grinding wheel becomes finer and finer over time and is still the ideal grinding wheel for really fine surfaces.

The conical composite honing wheel with integrated polishing agent enables both deburring and polishing of the grinding bevel. The result: the cutting edge is razor-sharp - for a long time. The honing wheel is also ideal for maintaining and sharpening knives until the next sharpening process. Tip: Moistening the honing wheel with a damp cloth or a damp sponge makes for smoother honing and a more intensive polishing result.
