General Information
Felt cushion - consistent. This reversible felt cushion in a square shape is made of 100% wool felt. Not only the surface is made of this tried and tested material, but also the filling. Felt has a temperature-regulating and hard-wearing effect and is particularly interesting at the dining table: due to the high natural content of lanolin (wool grease), wool felt is dirt and water repellent, warm and soft. The wool felt is made from regional wool from Germany.
A little material science: Lanolin
Lanolin is a waxy wool grease and a purely natural product which - similar in composition to the lipid film of human skin - is extracted from sheep's wool and used for wool care. With its ability to bind a lot of water, lanolin keeps wool soft and supple.
Straw in felt? Yes please!
Because the small inclusions in the felt show: The wool used has not been treated with sulphuric acid - as is common with imported wool - and comes from domestic herding.
