A lid simplifies extinguishing the flame; plus, it prevents the sensitive glass fibre wick from drying out by shielding it from direct sunlight while keeping dirt and moisture outside.

This ceramic pot contains a patented aluminium burner with metal-wrapped wicks made of glass fibre. These do not burn down and do not need a replacement. They constantly suck up some of the melted wax in the pot and burn it in a stable flame. The pot shows the natural colour of the sintered ceramics. You can use wax residues from candlesticks or from burned down candle stumps (made of kerosene, stearin or ceresin as a refill. (Beeswax does not burn properly.)
