Information on accessibility
Below we provide information on how our digital offering at en.magazin.com (hereinafter referred to as magazin.com) can be used by people with disabilities and special needs.
Applicable requirements
The accessibility requirements for services are set out in the Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG), in particular Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Section 3 (1) BFSG, and the Ordinance to the Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSGV). Services are barrier-free if they can be found, accessed and used by people with disabilities in a generally customary manner, without particular difficulty and generally without outside assistance.
Description of the service in general
Magazin.com is an online store where products are offered for sale. The products on offer can be found via the product search and navigation. Information about the products is provided in the form of text and images. Matching and alternative products are offered on the product pages to facilitate the selection process.
If interested in a product, it can be added directly to the shopping cart or initially placed on the wish list for later purchase.
Before a product can be ordered, registration or login as a customer on magazin.com is required. The products in the shopping cart can be checked as part of the ordering process before placing an order. The payment method and delivery address must be selected before submitting the order. The status of orders can be checked in the "Customer account" area. Invoices can also be viewed there.
Possible uses of our services
We at magazin.com are very keen to make magazin.com accessible and inclusive in order to make our online store accessible to everyone. Among other things, we implement the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 with conformance levels A and AA so that our services can be used by everyone.
Perceptibility
All informative images are provided with alt texts so that they can be read aloud by screen readers. When designing our user interface, we pay attention to sufficient color contrasts to improve readability.
Information and operating elements are presented in such a way that they can be perceived.
Usability
Our interactive elements, such as forms and navigation menus, can be operated entirely via the keyboard.
Comprehensibility
We use clear language to describe our products and on our service pages. Our navigation is clearly structured and intuitive. Functions for error prevention and correction, such as automatic validation and clear error messages, are implemented.
Robustness
Magazin.com is primarily developed with standardized components that have been optimized and tested for accessibility. In the development process, we use test criteria derived from the WCAG guidelines to ensure compatibility with various browsers and assistive technologies. We regularly test magazin.com to ensure the usability and comprehensibility of all functions and obtain feedback on the usability of our website from people with disabilities and restrictions as part of usability tests.
