General Information

Dutch creative Bertjan Pot is a self-confessed textile fanatic and is known for his rope masks, lamps, baskets and carpets using experimental techniques. Surreal and colorful, he creates imaginative worlds full of expressive characters and unique materials. His loop masks show his fascination for structures, patterns and colors. Made with zigzag stitches and coiled ropes, unexpected faces are created. Bertjan Pot says the faces are the result of a not particularly successful attempt to make carpets.

After studying at the renowned Design Academy Eindhoven, the Dutchman opened his own studio in Rotterdam. His colorful, unmistakable style earned Pot collaborations with well-known design companies.

The motifs in this series are printed using lithographic offset printing on 255g Mirri Silver paper and embossed with the logo, title and name of the artist.

THE WRONGSHOP

Sebastian Wrong has a penchant for bringing two worlds together. The British designer has already created armchairs that look like they were made from bricks, lamps that look like they were made from a jar of sweets and stools with tractor seats. The trained artist became known as a designer for renowned manufacturers and as a co-founder of Established & Sons. Time and again, he met designers who resorted to artistic means, producing stacks of drawings and experimental paintings in order to develop a feel for shapes and proportions. Wrong - enthusiastic - had an idea: art by designers, printed in high quality and affordable. The concept of the Wrong Shop. Since 2011, the company has been producing and selling artistic motifs by well-known designers, including Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Nathalie du Pasquier and Bertjan Pot. Sometimes selected from the sketchbooks of their creators, sometimes specially made for the store. Always on the border between art and design.
