Planting knife S-Type Hori Hori, small

- Ideal tool for small-scale planting work
- Double-sided cutting blade, sturdy beech wood handle
- Made by hand in Japan
General Information
Perfectly working Japanese tool for digging, topping, planting, weeding and small-scale plant care. Ideal for houseplants, succulents and for pricking out seedlings. The stainless steel blade cuts on both sides and is serrated on one side - for cuts on roots, branches, etc. The sturdy beechwood handle balances the blade well and sits securely in the hand. There are a few things to bear in mind when using Japanese garden knives, as these high-quality helpers are not absolutely indestructible: hard surfaces and twisting should be avoided to prevent the knife from bending. Japanese steel is hard and sharp, but at the same time more brittle than local steel - so it splinters more quickly when used to cut hard materials such as wire, stone, metal, very hard wood or plastic. The best and most blade-friendly cut is always made diagonally across the branch, i.e. along the fibers. The base of the blade should always be used for difficult-to-cut items. The blade should also be kept clean, all dirt removed with water and the blade then dried and oiled. Store the knife in a dry place. One thing is certain: if these points are observed, you will enjoy this high-quality tool for decades. Handmade in Japan.
