This delicately tart herbal tea with a honey-sweet note is made from hand-picked, fermented willowherb leaves. The plants from which they originate grow wild in the Ukrainian Carpathians. The leaves are picked by the village community around the Molfar manufactory in summer, fermented in the manufactory and then dried. This is how Ivan Chai is made from willowherb leaves. Its taste is reminiscent of black tea, its aroma of warm honey. Ivan Chai is caffeine-free, making it the ideal drink for relaxing evenings. Conflictfood is the first company to bring this organic tea from Ukraine to the EU. It is very easy to prepare: pour hot water at 90 °C over two teaspoons per cup and leave to infuse for five to ten minutes. The tea can be infused up to five times - and a spoonful of honey enhances its naturally sweet aroma.
