Odds & Ends wash mitt

Three wash mitts in colorful patterns made from yarn remnants from the textile industry. Weighing 370 g per m², the pure cotton fabric with its combination of textures ensures a pleasant feel and a good sensation on the skin: terry cloth and flat-woven areas alternate in narrow stripes. The former provide absorbency, the latter ensure smooth handling. A beautiful eye-catcher in the bathroom.

Colorful home textiles made from industrial waste! When factories dye yarn to weave textiles, they often produce more yarn than is needed - just in case. This means that considerable quantities of yarn are regularly left over, which are normally disposed of. For the textiles in the Odds & Ends collection, Foekje Fleur collects these yarn remnants - exclusively cotton yarns - and uses them to produce home textiles. Dishcloths, dishcloths, washcloths and shower towels in predetermined complex, graphic patterns of overlapping and intersecting lines in different colors and thicknesses. Their colors are created depending on the yarns available. And in batches: after sifting through the available yarns, the Dutch designer puts together the eye-catching and finely balanced color combinations for the next batch of the collection. If the yarns run out, individual colors are replaced or a completely new combination is created. Small variations within a batch are therefore planned. Odds & Ends scarves are made in Protugal and are easily recognizable by their striped hems woven on a jacquard machine. Practically all the scarves are fitted with a hanger and are quick-drying. The beautifully designed hangers and banderoles with which the scarves are supplied are the work of Dutch illustrator Rachel Sender and make the scarves the ideal gift.
