LED filament glass lamp 80 mm E27
- Long-lasting: LED filaments instead of filaments
- For all luminaires with corresponding standard socket
General Information
Lamp and luminaire in one
Globe lamps, thanks to their voluminous luminous body, make the difference between the illuminant and the luminaire body largely disappear. In combination with a plain socket, they become a simple, but anything but improvised wall or ceiling lamp. But of course they also make a good figure in suitable lampshades.
LED Filament Bulbs with Glass Support.
What lights these luminants turns out to be a complex construction on closer inspection: You find a so-called substrate (a carrier made of glass) densely covered with a multitude of tiny chip-diode pairs and a fluorescent layer on these diodes consisting mainly of phosphor. In terms of luminous efficacy, light colour and colour rendering, the phosphorous layer provides light properties that come very close to those of the former incandescent light bulbs banned by EU regulation. Besides, LED filament bulbs exceedingly outdo their forerunners in energy efficiency and average service life; therefore, they are a fully-fledged replacement for the traditional incandescent light bulbs.
Close to the Forerunners’ Design. For good reason.
The striking resemblance of the LED filament bulbs shown here to classic types of incandescent bulbs has quite banal technical reasons. Firstly, this is why these bulbs fit into all luminaires with standard sockets (E27, E14). Secondly, in this way, they are able to provide light beams at the same angle as classic incandescent bulbs. And the latter’s light output was the basis for blueprinting the lighting design of most luminaires in use. LED filament bulbs, therefore, can fully replace or may even surpass their discarded “ancestors” in all respects.
