Laundry basket Colonne

Made from the material of French oyster baskets: storage baskets in three different formats for many purposes in the household - as a laundry basket, for collecting bottles and paper or as a storage basket for sundries.

These bags featuring a distinctive lattice-like weave come from La Rochelle on the French Atlantic coast. In fact, the striking material is traditionally used to produce oyster baskets. The Rochelaises use these baskets for raising the young oysters in the intertidal zones. Later on, the corves serve as a means of transport. They do their duty for decades and are indestructible even under permanent exposure to seawater and load. Their extreme durability and high load-bearing capacity recommend them for many other uses, such as storing or shopping.
