GOOD JOB!

Good work! A series of events on the topic of work environments at the “ MAGAZIN ” store in Cologne.

...is the name of our event series, to which we cordially invite you to our Cologne store from October 27–31 as part of Orgatec 2026 and IDD Cologne 2026 x Design Season Cologne.

And we have a lot planned: Together with the Berlin-based interior design studio KAMI BLUSCH, we’ll be showcasing in the exhibition “A Day at the Office in Five Acts” how well-thought-out spatial concepts can connect different ways of working. Johanna Neves Pimenta, editor-in-chief of the trademagazins md, will speak with designers Karl Frederik Scholz (KAMI BLUSCH) and Marie Hesseldahl (Design Director, +Halle) about the demands that modern ways of working place on products and spaces. We’re hosting two RAL color workshops on-site and invite you to join us for coffee, croissants, and conversation.

Come by and join us at one—or even several—of our events! We look forward to seeing you here:

MAGAZIN Cologne, Aachener Straße 40-44, 50674 Cologne

DIALOG.

Tuesday, October 27, 2026, starting at 7 p.m.

What exactly is “New Work”? And how are new demands on work environments emerging? How can a space support different ways of working, and what must furniture be capable of to make work easier and set workflows in motion? In short: How do individual components come together to create work environments that put people at the center and support them as best as possible throughout the day? Johanna Neves Pimenta, editor-in-chief of the trade magazine *magazin* s md, will discuss this with interior architect Karl-Frederik Scholz from the Berlin-based interior design studio KAMI BLUSCH and Marie Hessedahl, chief designer at the Danish furniture manufacturer +HALLE. (In English) Feel free to stop by—the MAGAZIN team looks forward to seeing you.

EXHIBITION.

Tuesday, Oct. 27 – Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Activity-based working is on everyone’s lips: the idea that spaces are designed to optimally support people’s work styles and activities in the workplace. But what does that look like in practice? What scenarios exist, how can work modes be interconnected, and what ties spaces together to create an ideal work environment? In our exhibition titled “A Day at the Office in Five Acts,” we explore these questions: Five spaces, five concepts, one work environment. We start in the morning with arriving at the office, showing how quiet workspaces can boost productivity, how a team room can set work processes in motion thanks to mobile furniture, how collaborative work in an open space can function, and how a meeting can achieve the right atmosphere.

An exhibition conceived and curated by the Berlin-based studio KAMI BLUSCH, featuring furniture and products from MAGAZIN, +Halle, ege, FAUST, and Pedestal. Curious? Then come take a look.

FOCUS ON COLOR.

Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In two workshops for professional architects, interior designers, and designers, RAL will demonstrate how color can be strategically used in a space. For registered participants.

From Code to Emotion: The Impact of Color in a Space
This workshop provides a thorough understanding of how color affects us psychologically, culturally, and emotionally—and how it can be strategically used to structure spaces, address needs, and create intentional atmospheres. Participants will learn to strategically develop color concepts, communicate them, and justify them in a context-specific manner. In the process, they will develop their own situational color concepts and apply what they have learned directly in practice by visualizing them in color and material boards.

Color expert Lina Schmidt leads the workshops. After completing her studies in color and interior design in Hildesheim and her studies in cultural studies in the Netherlands, Lina Schmidt co-founded the studio Farbkultur.design with Melissa Lindemann in 2022. She is also a board member of the Deutsches Farbzentrum e.V. and serves as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Wuppertal, HAWK Hildesheim, and FH Joanneum Graz.
