This garden furniture was designed by Fermob in Thoissey for the seating of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, where it remains to this day and has proven its worth as furniture for public use. With their well-proportioned dimensions, they are aesthetically pleasing and at the same time offer maximum comfort, which is positively noted, especially when staying for a long time. Made of aluminum, they are not only absolutely rust-proof and easy to clean, they can also be moved to the desired location at any time and with little effort due to their light weight. Their famous bistro furniture, for example, has seen almost no change on the outside for over 100 years; on the other hand, they've always been at the cutting edge of technology, processes and materials. The idea behind it: What provides years of rust protection for automobiles should also be effective for furniture. Fermob therefore only uses steel and aluminum of first-class quality and ensures with a high-protection treatment that furniture made of these materials does not have to be painted over during use. During 13 steps of a self-developed procedure the metal is treated against corrosion. Then a special powder is applied electrostatically, which penetrates even into the smallest cracks and makes the fresh colors UV-resistant; after that, they are baked at very high temperatures. A so-called cataphoresis treatment completes the process. Processed in this way, Fermob furniture can overwinter outside without any problems and does not require additional protection.
