Just a decanter? Almost. EUGENIA is a direct homage to Alberto Alessi, whose love of wine culminated in the founding of a vinicola—a winery—with the evocative name “La signora Eugenia e il passero solitario” (Mrs. Eugenia and the Lonely Sparrow). And whose products are sold in bottles based on a design by Leonardo da Vinci. Drawing inspiration from the characteristic shape of this very bottle, Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa developed a delicate glass series with minimalist, refined contours, including this decanter, which closely resembles the aforementioned bottle in form, yet is more delicate and beautifully minimalist in appearance, crafted from fine crystal glass.
