Daybed Hans

The HANS daybed is based on the tried-and-tested HANS bed design. As a daybed, it expands our range of MAGAZIN products. Even as a sofa - equipped with a set of back cushions that offer good seating comfort - it is the right choice: chilling out, resting, family life, watching TV - it all works perfectly. Thanks to its minimalist design, the HANS daybed complements existing furnishings and is also effective as a stand-alone piece. With a mattress size of 90 × 200 cm, it can also be used as a single bed, guest bed or youth bed. Like the bed, it stands on fine steel legs that develop from the steel head and foot sections. These are connected to the two bed sides made of coated birch plywood to form a load-bearing unit. The headboard and footboard as well as the two long sides are joined together with a slotted connection to prevent them from being damaged. One long side of the HANS daybed has a high side section. The interplay of the two materials, steel and wood, gives the daybed a very delicate appearance, which is enhanced by the layered wood visible on the edges of the side sections. At the same time, it impresses with its stability and load-bearing capacity. The formally independent design is reminiscent of typical design features of the Ulm School in its choice of materials and construction. The HANS daybed can be supplemented with a variety of accessories. The mattress of the same name is particularly suitable for the HANS daybed. It is covered with an anthracite-colored upholstery fabric, is reversible, removable and washable. It is best used with a rollable slatted frame, which, thanks to its low structure, perfectly matches the lowered mattress of the HANS daybed. Cushion covers specially designed for the HANS daybed are also available with separate ticking. Max. load weight: 220 kg.
