We offer various connectors to link the COSTUME elements together. Made of black plastic, they ensure that the elements are firmly attached to each other after assembly and can be easily removed again at any time.

COSTUME is a modular sofa system with an internal construction made of recycled and recyclable polyethylene. In its conceptual orientation, the idea of pure separability of the components used in upholstered furniture is of great importance. With this upholstered furniture, the design team led by Stefan Diez has delivered a strong pioneer and shows what upholstered furniture will have to look like in the future. This piece of upholstered furniture can be completely dismantled into its individual components. The modular system consists of a single element that can be joined together in various configurations or extended with armrests. This base carries the upholstery and the visible fabric. The cover can be removed, making it easier to clean and reupholster the elements. The armrests, which can be fitted on the left or right, can be covered individually, as can the corresponding connectors for the sofa elements. A stool, which can also be used as a separate seat, completes the series.

Stefan Diez comments on the COSTUME concept as follows: "How you position yourself in relation to the circular economy is a fundamental decision. When we were working on the COSTUME sofa for Magis, I became aware of this. The mere fact that a sofa can be completely dismantled by the customer for the first time, that each part can be replaced individually, has set a new standard for us in the studio. It would no longer be possible for us to produce upholstered furniture using traditional methods. We will apply our self-imposed rules more and more consistently with every new project."
