This compact ballpoint pen made of solid brass comes from Japan and is available in three surface finishes: galvanized gold-plated or silver-plated or black electrocoated (a surface coating process similar to electroplating that is regularly used in vehicle construction). Extremely compact when assembled (length 9.3 cm), the ballpoint pen stretches out into an easy-to-handle writing instrument by attaching the cap at the rear end (the locking of the cap is acknowledged by a click), which is pleasantly heavy in the hand despite its compact size.
