The Swedish manufacturer calls its coat hook "Gloria", which translates from Swedish as "halo" (and should not be confused with the Latin "gloria", synonymous with "glory" and "honor" - although we would grant the hook this too). In fact, a halo seems to surround the hook, especially as the ring also leans into the room and casts a visually fascinating ring of shadows on the wall when the light falls on it. Beyond this, however, the design of the coat hook has little to do with holiness, but is rather the result of well thought-out reasons of functionality. Even items of clothing that lack the sewn-in loop for hanging on a hook can be stored on the ring, which is as gentle on the fabric as a coat hanger. Permanent marks and creases in the fabric are a thing of the past.
