Chair Ultraleggera

Technical experiment - spectacular result: FiDU technology invented by Polish architect and researcher Oskar Zieta uses air pressure to form metal. Stability, durability and lightness are in consequence the result of this construction method. Especially the latter was the main inspiration for ULTRALEGGERA - one of the lightest chairs in the world. The name ULTRALEGGERA recalls the featherweight of a wooden chair by Gio Ponti called Superleggera and is at the same time a reference and a bow to the great designer Gio Ponti.

Despite its light weight, the sturdy and stable chair can be used both indoors and outdoors. Its discreet shape and material make it easy to combine and use, for example, even on wooden tables. Its frame construction is double-shell and formed in FiDU technology. This is the main constructive feature and gives the chair its stability. Seat and back surfaces are made of perforated sheet metal. The chair made of aluminum has a special matt powder-coated surface, which in its appearance is close to anodizing. This makes the texture of the material slightly visible - an interesting effect. The seat is slightly hollowed out, the seat angle is correct and provides good seating comfort.
