Chair Basket
- wickerwork rattan over filigree steel structure
- Flexibility and high seating comfort as the material adapts to the body pressure
- Suitable for private and gastronomic use
General Information
International multi-talent: BASKET was drawn by Swiss architect Gian Franco Legler for a restaurant called BASKET. Already in the early 1950s, the chair experienced high popularity in the US, not least because of a special award for its design by MoMA in New York. Today, the chair is woven by an Australian company in Indonesia. This makes sense, as the material rattan is grown and directly processed there. Formal minimalism meets minimalist use of materials in BASKET. The wickerwork of rattan, which spans the filigree steel structure, offers flexibility and high comfort in the seat and back area, as it adapts to body pressure. BASKET is suitable for use at the private dining place as well as in the gastronomy.
