In a way a re-edition and yet a new chair design in its own right: chair 822 by Swedish designer trio Claesson Koivisto Rune is produced in the Czech Republic by TON. The design is inspired by one of Josef Hoffmann's chairs, the A 811 chair from 1930. Claesson Koivisto Rune have translated the idea of the original design into the present day, changing the angle of the backrest and the seat angle as well as developing other comfort-creating details. The graphic effect of the perforations in the seat and back give the chair a unique character. 822 provides high seating comfort at tables of different materials and shapes.

Beech is one of the best known and most frequently processed deciduous trees in furniture construction. It is a hard, firm, homogeneous wood that is well suited for manual bending. Beech has a light to slightly pink color with a less pronounced texture, as the color of spring and summer wood - the contrast formed by the annual rings - does not differ significantly. Each beech wood component reacts differently to the chosen processing technology. This natural characteristic causes variations in the coloration of the components.
