Most plastics last an eternity. That's the good news and the bad news. They can be used to make durable products. But once they are no longer needed, they are difficult to break down. ClassicBAG carrier bags are made from precisely this waste. The bag bodies are made from 100% recycled polypropylene (RPP), which is largely obtained from old fridges and other white goods. Only the handles and drawstrings are not yet made from recycled material. The bags are manufactured by the supplier waste2wear in China. The value chain can be traced using blockchain technology. Even if the manufacturer is still a little bit short of a 100% recycled bag, they are as close as they can get these days. And they are doing their best to ensure that the carrier bags can be produced entirely from waste. Should it ever come to the point where the ClassicBAG is no longer usable, it can simply be recycled via the packaging waste garbage can.
