Carafe for SOMO Classic solar module

A beautiful addition to the well-known Sonnenglas® collection. This glass carafe becomes a table lamp when combined with the Sonnenglas® solar module SOMO from our range: as a lid, the module fits onto the opening of the carafe and brings the sun's energy to the table in the form of a beautiful play of light. The liquid inside sets the light in motion, amplifies or refracts it. The small magnet on the upper edge of the carafe is attached using an extremely durable UV adhesive from dental technology and serves as a switch: if the solar module is turned into the correct position, the light switches on. If you turn it further, the light switches off. The carafe is mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass, which is collected in Eswatini, a small country in Africa. For many of the people living there, collecting bottles is their only source of income. Artists from Ngwenya Glass transform this material into products that are compatible with the Sonnenglas solar module. The carafe is ideal for water and juices and comes with a matching cork lid. The Sonnenglas® solar module SOMO is not included in the scope of delivery.
