Designer - cabinetmaker? bartmann berlin are Robert Zeise, Sebastian Kunath and Lasse Schnack. For the three young entrepreneurs, who took over the old furniture factory in a Kreuzberg backyard in Berlin in 2007, these categories do not matter. Committed and enterprising, savvy and precise, they cultivate their own genre: furniture design with a clear handwriting and artisanal-manufakturelle production, small series and individual production are their metier.
Airy light and yet stately and robust: the bed UNIDORM designed and produced by bartmann is a typical product of the young label. The solid oak frame construction blends impressively with the over-height, linoleum-covered headboard. The interior supporting this construction consists of a solid steel frame construction that makes the frame, which stands on four steel legs, appear to float. The construction is easy to assemble and disassemble via specially designed plug-in fittings.
