To be carried as a tote bag and also as a light backpack - TOTE BAG BANANATEX is the universal bag for everyday use - in two different sizes. In a timeless shape and made almost entirely from plants: 100% natural, biodegradable banana fiber material in combination with the certified Biolight cotton fabric - this waterproof material mix gives TOTE BAG BANANATEX its reduced aesthetics. The volume increase with cord quick release closure ensures that the contents are optimally protected from rain or unwanted access. The two external pockets with zipper and key hooks help to organize all keys, wallets and notebooks. For cycling, this multifunctional everyday bag can be easily transformed into a backpack using the Simple Strap system. A zippered, unpadded laptop/document compartment fits up to a 16" MacBookPro®/Air in the larger version and up to a 13" computer in the smaller version. Leather-free and water-resistant.

The small company with great motivation to challenge the usual norms focuses on design for functional luggage in all situations - from long journeys to everyday mobility. Behind QWSTION is a team of dedicated specialists led by Swiss industrial designer Christian Kaegi. It all started with a piece of luggage that was to be more functional than a classic leather bag and more elegant than a sports rucksack, robust and hard-wearing on the one hand and made from natural materials on the other. Influenced by the signature of Swiss design, the QWSTION team develops timeless designs with practical details from Zurich - and with impressive precision. For example, every bag is also a rucksack - and vice versa. The wide fabric straps are characteristic. They form the structure of the bags - elaborately and robustly sewn - in almost all parts of the range. Thanks to the hard-wearing outer material and many practical features, they are perfect everyday companions. QWSTION makes no compromises when it comes to the choice of materials. The Swiss company uses organic cotton and recycled materials that are processed to the highest standards. The most important production partner is a small factory in the city of Huizhou outside Hong Kong, which is BSCI (Business and Social Compliance Initiative) certified. The EU initiative aims to implement European standards with regard to working conditions and ecological aspects in non-EU countries. Alternatively, the manufacturer has been launching its own textile on the market for some time: Bananatex® is the world's first technical fabric made from banana plant fibers, which is now being used for the first time in the company's own bag collection. Because QWSTION is a variation of the English word "question", the Swiss question the established and established. The dedicated team conducted intensive material research for over three years. The abaca banana plant is cultivated in the Philippine highlands. As a natural alternative to synthetic, petroleum-based textiles, the in-house development is not only ecological and economical, but also very robust and durable, light and flexible, with a finely textured feel. Regardless of the base material, a layer of beeswax makes the fabrics used water-repellent and hard-wearing. With use, QWSTION bags develop a beautiful patina.
