Sophisticated backpack for every day in a minimalist, cubic shape. Its hard-wearing, plastic-free Bananatex outer material is rainproof and completely biodegradable at the end of the backpack's life. The everyday backpack has a capacity of 21 liters, a large main compartment that can be opened via a 300° two-way zipper and a twist lock, a padded laptop compartment for 16" notebooks and additional inner compartments for organizing work utensils and everything you take with you. An additional zipper on the side allows quick access to the inner compartments. The two carrying handles made of vegetable-tanned cowhide on the top and side, the padded back and the adjustable backpack straps ensure comfort and a good fit.

Bags are either chic or practical, elegant or functional. Only rarely are they both - unless they come from QWSTION. The small company, which is highly motivated to challenge conventional standards, focuses on design for functional luggage in all situations - from long journeys to everyday mobility.

Behind QWSTION is a team of dedicated specialists led by Swiss industrial designer Christian Kaegi. It all started with a piece of luggage that was to be more functional than a classic leather bag and more elegant than a sports backpack, robust and hard-wearing on the one hand and made from natural materials on the other.

Influenced by the signature of Swiss design, the QWSTION team from Zurich develops timeless designs with practical details - and with impressive precision. For example, every bag is also a rucksack - and vice versa. The wide fabric straps are characteristic. They form the structure of the bags - elaborately and robustly sewn - in almost all parts of the range. Thanks to the hard-wearing outer material and many practical features, they are perfect everyday companions.

QWSTION makes no compromises when it comes to the choice of materials. The Swiss company uses organic cotton and recycled materials that are processed to the highest standards. The most important production partner is a small factory in the city of Huizhou outside Hong Kong, which is BSCI (Business and Social Compliance Initiative) audited. The EU initiative aims to implement European standards with regard to working conditions and ecological aspects in non-EU countries.

Alternatively, the manufacturer is launching its own textile on the market: Bananatex® is the world's first technical fabric made from banana plant fibers, which is now being used in the company's own bag collection for the first time. Because QWSTION is a variation of the English word "question", the Swiss question the established and established. The dedicated team conducted intensive material research for over three years. The abaca banana plant is cultivated in the Philippine highlands. As a natural alternative to synthetic, petroleum-based textiles, the in-house development - used for the first time in the latest bag collection - is very robust and durable, lightweight and flexible with a finely textured feel. A layer of beeswax makes the canvas fabric water-repellent, hard-wearing and develops a beautiful patina with use.

Staining of light-coloured clothing, furniture and other objects is possible.
