Sink brush cereal root

You wouldn't know it by looking at it, but this eco-friendly dishwashing brush is a real powerhouse. The bound grain roots effortlessly remove coarse dirt from pans, pots, and insensitive dishes. It even effectively gets to grips with dried-on food residues, for example in the casserole dish - and always lies comfortably in the hand. To use it, simply soak it briefly in water before each use so that the roots are a little more flexible when washing up. When the washing-up brush has had its day, it can even be disposed of in the compost or simply buried in the garden, as it is made entirely of natural materials, which then decompose.

The dishwashing brush is manufactured by the Swedish brush manufacturer Iris Hantverk. Whether the Swedes copied the idea of using cereal roots for dishwashing brushes from the Japanese cannot be said with certainty. What is certain, however, is that this type of brush (then made from softer roots) is also traditionally at home in Asia and is also used there, for example, to distribute oil in a wok or pan or to prepare matcha tea.
