Fire cooking is a feast for all the senses. From many trips to fire kitchens around the world, Monika Di Muro and Chris Bay have brought back traditional and modern methods of preparing surprising, often unusual dishes over the fire without a lot of equipment and with readily available ingredients. The incomparable experience of cooking with fire makes the preparation itself an event. The dishes for every diet, season and weather are varied and balanced, and desserts and rarities also find their enjoyable way onto the fire.
The theory section is dedicated in detail to the actual craft of fire cooking and the associated sensory experience. The more than 80 dishes in the recipe section are prepared at seven different places of power. They are vegan, vegetarian, with meat or fish, inspire starters, main courses and desserts and have melodic names such as Glutwurst, Feuerbrotsalat, Papierfisch or Eierteppich.
